Level a New DK During Hallow’s End

So I decided to make a new Death Knight. I wasn’t really excited about my other one and hadn’t played it much, so I made a new one.

There are few better times to make a new Death Knight than Hallow’s End. The only two yearly events that are comparable are during Midsummer and the Lunar Festival.

The reason that Hallow’s End (and those other 2) is so awesome is that it sends you all over the world getting treats from the inns. Each time you get a treat, you get XP. About 6500 XP for a new Death Knight. This is easy because DK’s start with nearly all the flight paths in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.

So you’ve got a brand new level 58 Death Knight, why not just go to Hellfire Peninsula and start questing? Well, cause it’s frustrating.

As a new DK, the gear you get is pretty great and there are only a couple of pieces in Hellfire that are any sort of upgrade at all. Doing a World Event lets you skip some of that frustration, get plenty of XP, get some new achievements, and then head in to Hellfire when it’s all over and pick and choose only the quests you want to do.

After that, you can head into Zangarmarsh where you will find more gear upgrade options.

The other reason I wanted to do this during a World Event is because DK’s come with zero professions and it SUCKS like you wouldn’t believe to go directly to Hellfire and realize you can’t mine, can’t skin, can’t herb, can’t fish, can’t cook… nothing. Cause you have 1 point of skill in your new professions.

You’ve got to go back to Azeroth to get professions leveled up ANYWAY, so why not get XP for an event while you’re doing it?
