Some Gals Play With Swords.

WoW is leaking images to us…

Sunday, August 14th, 2011

This was posted on their Facebook page.

What does it mean? Well that’s the question on everyones mind in the WoW blogosphere.

From my old D&D days I can say that transmogrification was always a form of magic that changed your physical appearance. And since we already have barbers… well it’s either going to be face/skin color/etc.. changes or maybe even gear appearance. I’m more inclined to think it’s the former.

Of course, now there’s an entire segment of people thinking that we’re going to have Ethereals as a playable race. I highly doubt it. WoW has a pattern through their expansions: new races, new class, new races, new… it’s time for a new class, not a new race. My bet is that we’re going to see monks as a new class. And I can totally understand the Pandaren teaching a natural sorta Earth energy monk, and the Ethereals teaching the kind of monk that could channel electrical energy from their body outward into an electro-zap attack from some mega Ki channeling.

The void storage guy… well his name is ‘Vaultkeeper Razhid’ so everyone is crossing fingers and toes for additional bank space.

Knock knock. Who’s There?

Loremaster Coolest Quest So Far…

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

Getting to summon this dude…

Emissary Roman'khan in Silithus.

Emissary Roman'khan in Silithus.

And it was totally not cool to have to kill him.

Poor guy.

Poor guy.

I love the Egyptian thing going on in Silithus with this kind of character. In fact, Loremaster taught me that Silithus is actually a pretty cool place.

Loremaster Progress Update

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

It’s slow going. Very slow going. Despite the walking-through-mud pace, I did manage to take another step forward.

All done.

All done.

Now I just need to do the Outland part of Loremaster and I’ll be done. However, when I got Kalimdor complete yesterday I realized I was only 10 quests away from getting my 3000 achievement. I decided to take off to Outland and do a few quests so I could finish that one too.

Everonna The Seeker.

Everonna The Seeker.

Now the need to hurry is gone. I’m not going to stress out about Outland since it’s not even on the same realm of existence as the Cataclysm changes.

About Time Zet!

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Ok so this was me being lazy, Zetreas was sitting at 79.5 for the last week or so but I just didn’t feel like playing her (or WoW much at all really).

She's a big girl now!

She's a big girl now!

That makes 80 number 5. Yay for altaholism.

Before I go work on one getting another character to 80, I’m going to take a moment to honor my little gal Zet with a song :)

Hard Heroics!

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Lately we’ve been working on the meta-achievements available in heroic mode dungeons. Basically, super hard heroic versions. Got a few more recently…

Hadronox Denied.

Oh Novos!

Better Off Dred.

And because Nyhm is my hero, here’s the perfect song for working a hard heroic ;-)

Happened the other day when patch 3.3.5 came out … go figure.

Flame Leviathon Fun

Monday, June 21st, 2010

Last Friday we went to Ulduar with the Family Ties guild to attempt the weekly quest to kill XT. Well, that was the ultimate goal anyhow. The more important one for the week was actually to learn how to kill Flame Leviathon on our own.

Flame Leviathon is the first (and non-optional) boss in Ulduar and there are 3 weekly raid quests that involve killing him. I didn’t want to pug anyone for it so we could learn without ridicule and figure it out at our own pace. I read that some insane people had soloed and 2-manned Flame Leviathon so I thought… pfft we’ll just do it with who ever we can get to go then.

And that’s what we did :)

Flame Leviathon.

Flame Leviathon.

With 8 people :D

(The achievement on the screenshot is the Shutout one.)

Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t perfect but we didn’t expect it to be. The first wipe was mostly figuring out the controls. One wipe came from an accident of starting it too early. Another as we figured out how to set up the area pre-fight with blue jars, and the final one as we got better at picking them up and kiting him through the tar.

But in the end, we actually learned the fight, and we should be significantly more able to handle him next time. And some of our people really had a blast using the machines :P

The other boss we went to kill, XT, well for that we had to PUG and like nearly always happens when we pug people… it fell apart. I also should have brought a third healer, in general, hope our XT fight goes better next time, but we did manage the more important one to learn even if we didn’t get the quest done.

So thanks to Berengaria, Huntinall, Kibz, Kneedoom, Kregleskon, Logicalheart, and Shablani for coming along to learn how to do the fight :)

Dust Devils – Good for… something!

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

During my Loremaster trek I have discovered many before-unseen places and things… but I now know a use for a previously seen thing in a very familiar place… the Dust Devil of Westfall!

Dust Devil.

Dust Devil.

Apparently you just have to go all the way to Stonetalon Mountains to find out :)
